Are Achology Courses Available in Other Languages?

Estimated reading time: 3 minutes

All Achology courses and community activities are delivered in English. No translations or subtitles are currently available. A working level of English is the only language requirement for participation.

Short answer

  • All course content — videos, written materials, and exercises — is in English.
  • Community events, live training sessions, and peer practice all take place in English.
  • No subtitles, dubbing, or translated materials are currently offered.
  • Learners from over 100 countries study with Achology successfully.
  • You do not need to be a native English speaker. However, you need enough English to follow video lessons, read written materials, and participate in live discussions.
  • Achology does not currently plan to offer courses in additional languages, but this may change in future.

The full answer

What “English only” means in practice

Every part of the Achology learning experience uses English. This includes the course videos, written guides, PDF materials, and all reflective exercises. It also extends to live community events — VALTS, PALS, CIPS, and group discussions all take place in English.

There are no auto-generated subtitles, no closed captions, and no translated course packs. If you rely on subtitles to follow spoken English, this is a genuine limitation worth considering before you enrol.

What level of English do you need?

You do not need academic-level English. However, you do need enough to follow spoken explanations at a natural pace, read written materials without constant translation, and express yourself clearly in live group discussions and one-to-one coaching sessions.

As a rough guide, if you can comfortably read this FAQ and follow an English-language podcast or YouTube video, you are likely to manage well. If you regularly need to pause and translate sentences, the learning experience may feel frustrating — especially in live events where conversation moves at a natural pace.

How international learners manage

Learners from over 100 countries have engaged with the platform. Many are non-native English speakers. In practice, the community is supportive and patient with members whose first language is not English. Live events are conversational rather than lecture-based, so there is usually space to ask for clarification.

Some learners use browser-based translation tools to assist with written materials. Others replay course videos at slower speeds. These are personal workarounds rather than built-in features, and their effectiveness depends on the individual.

Live events and time zones

Since this FAQ often comes alongside timezone concerns: Achology is based in Scotland (UK), and live events run on UK time. Events are distributed across the day to accommodate different regions. However, no platform can perfectly cover every timezone for every session.

If you are based in a region with limited overlap with UK daytime hours, you may need to attend some sessions outside your ideal schedule or rely more heavily on asynchronous course study and community discussion threads.

Will other languages be offered in future?

There is no confirmed plan to offer courses in additional languages. If this changes, it will be announced through Achology’s usual channels. For now, English is the sole language of delivery.

What Achology is and isn’t

Achology is a global platform — accessible from anywhere with an internet connection and a supported payment method. However, it is not a multilingual platform. All learning happens in English, and the community operates in English. This is transparent so you can make an informed decision before enrolling.

Next step

If you are confident your English is strong enough for self-directed study and live discussion, visit the Achology membership page to explore your options. If you are unsure, contact the team to ask any questions before committing.
