Can I share or redistribute Achology course content?

Estimated reading time: 5 minutes

No. All Achology course content is copyrighted by The Academy of Modern Applied Psychology. You can use materials for your own education, training, and personal purposes. You cannot copy, redistribute, resell, or upload content to other platforms. Sharing login credentials with non-members also violates the terms of your membership.

The short answer

  • All content is copyrighted — videos, handbooks, PDFs, frameworks, and training materials
  • Personal use for education, training, and self-development is permitted
  • Copying, redistribution, resale, or lending for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited
  • Sharing your login credentials with others violates your membership terms
  • Videos stream within the platform only and cannot be downloaded
  • PDFs download for personal reference, not for redistribution

The full answer

This isn’t a topic anyone finds exciting, but it matters — both for Achology’s sustainability and for the integrity of the learning community you belong to. Here’s what the copyright rules actually mean in practical terms and why they exist.

What you can do with course content

Achology grants you the right to use its materials for education, training, and personal purposes. In practice, that means you can study the content as many times as you like through your course dashboard. You can download PDFs and worksheets for your own reference and personal development. You can take notes, create summaries, and build your own reflections based on what you’ve learned. You can reference concepts and frameworks in conversations, VALTS discussions, and PALS practice sessions. You can also apply what you’ve learned in your professional practice — that’s the entire point.

The copyright notice across Achology’s handbooks states this clearly: reproduction for education, training, and personal purposes is granted. The content exists to develop your competence, and using it for that purpose is exactly what it’s designed for.

What you cannot do

The boundary sits at commercial copying, redistribution, and credential sharing.

Don’t redistribute course videos. Screen recording, downloading through third-party tools, uploading to YouTube or other platforms, or sharing video files through any channel violates copyright. Videos stream within the Achology platform deliberately — this protects the intellectual property that makes the courses possible.

Don’t copy and resell materials. Taking Achology’s frameworks, handbooks, or training content and repackaging it as your own product — whether for sale or free distribution — violates copyright and undermines the work that created those materials.

Don’t share your login credentials. Your Achology membership and course access belong to you personally. Giving someone else your login lets them access content they haven’t purchased and community infrastructure they haven’t joined. It also compromises your own account security.

Don’t lend for commercial purposes. The copyright notice across all Achology handbooks prohibits copying, hiring, and lending for commercial purposes. If someone wants access to Achology’s training, they need their own account and their own purchases.

It’s tempting to frame copyright purely as a legal issue — “don’t do this or face consequences.” But there’s a more practical reason to care.

Achology’s courses fund the community infrastructure you benefit from. The daily VALTS events, the PALS practice framework, the mentorship groups, the platform itself — all of it runs because enough people pay for the courses and membership that sustain it. When content gets pirated or shared outside the system, it directly reduces the revenue that keeps those services running.

Every unauthorised copy of a course represents someone receiving value without contributing to the ecosystem that created it. Over time, that erodes the platform’s ability to maintain the quality and breadth of what it offers to paying members — including you.

This isn’t melodramatic. It’s the straightforward economics of an independent education provider. Achology doesn’t have university funding, government subsidies, or venture capital. It sustains itself through the people who value what it offers enough to pay for it.

The ethical dimension

If you’ve completed Achology’s Code of Ethics training, you’ll recognise that respecting intellectual property aligns directly with the ethical standards the community upholds. Integrity, honesty, and respect for others’ work aren’t principles that apply only in coaching sessions. They apply to how you treat the platform and the people who built it.

Members who pirate or redistribute content while simultaneously pursuing Achologist status create a contradiction they’ll eventually need to reconcile. The member journey asks you to demonstrate ethical conduct — and that starts with how you engage with the learning materials themselves.

What about quoting or referencing?

Using Achology concepts in your own work — blog posts, presentations, coaching practice, academic writing — is fine as long as you attribute the source appropriately. Saying “According to Achology’s approach to…” or “Drawing on the framework taught in Achology’s NLP Practitioner course…” gives proper credit without reproducing copyrighted material.

What crosses the line is reproducing substantial portions of course content verbatim and presenting it as your own. Brief referencing and attribution: fine. Wholesale copying: not fine.

If you see pirated Achology content

If you encounter Achology course materials shared on other platforms, torrent sites, or social media, report it to Achology support at enquiries@achology.com. The team takes intellectual property protection seriously and will act on credible reports.

Boundaries and responsibility

Achology provides copyrighted educational content for personal, educational, and training use. All materials remain the intellectual property of The Academy of Modern Applied Psychology. Commercial copying, redistribution, and credential sharing violate both copyright law and the terms of your membership. Members hold responsibility for using content within these boundaries.

Next step

If you’re unsure whether a specific use of Achology materials falls within permitted boundaries, contact support at enquiries@achology.com before proceeding. When in doubt, ask first.
